Supply List - Alcohol Ink Workshop with Jill Lindsay

SUPPLY LIST: *It looks like a lot but the most important thing is ALCOHOL INK & YUPO PAPER.

Alcohol inks - There are two main brands and they are both wonderful. Jim Holtz Ranger Adirondack inks come individually & in 3-packs - Just get five or six colors that you like. They sell locally at Michael's and Hobby Lobby, but Amazon has every color they make. There is also Jacquard Pinata alcohol inks. I have only seen these on-line. They sell a variety of vibrant colors and have two different "exciter packs" with nine inks. If you're going to buy the pack, get the one that includes the rich gold. And be careful... Jacquard also makes a "Lumiere" pack that looks very similar to alcohol ink, but it is not. Both of these brands have ALCOHOL ink. For this workshop, acrylic inks will not work.

Yupo paper - Comes in 5 x 7, 9 x 12 and 11 x 14 pads. I recommend the white (as opposed to translucent). You'll need at least one pad. We'll be creating a lot of pieces, so best to go with the larger size. You can always cut into halves or fourths. Again, Amazon is the way to go. I have never seen this paper sold locally.

91% alcohol - at least an 8oz bottle

The rest of the items should be able to be purchased at the dollar store:

Small spray bottle

Wax paper

Plastic wrap

Gloves (if you don't want to get your hands dirty)

Apron or painting clothes

A few small paintbrushes (inexpensive!)

Scissors

Plastic Tablecloth

Paper towels

Stencils - if you have them - you don't have to buy them - I will be sharing mine

And don't worry if you have trouble finding some of the things - I will have Yupo paper and alcohol inks available for purchase at cost.
