Master Workshop with Graziano - PAINTING FROM STILL LIFE & PHOTO

  • $375.00

Study oil painting from still life or a photograph with Dan Graziano in a 2-Day Master Workshop at the Visual Arts Center (VAC). This workshop is designed to be informative, fun and stimulating. Beginning with a discussion on the “basics” of painting (from materials to paint handling), the workshop will also address the fundamentals of composition, color, value, edges and perspective. Instruction will focus on painting from still life set ups in the studio including how to develop greater skills of observation, simplification, and quickly painting “wet on wet” (alla prima) to translate what you see into strong paintings with plenty of one-on-one individual instruction throughout the day. Participants will paint 2-3 quick alla prima paintings and include a short painting demo by Dan.

Visual Arts Center day-long workshops include Lunch. Materials list will be provided upon registration.
