Workshop with Pavon - PORTRAITS IN CHARCOAL

  • $250.00

Study Pastels with Robert Pavon in a 2-Day Workshop at the Visual Arts Center (VAC). This workshop is for the artist of any skill level that has always wanted to learn about pastel pencils and portraiture. Pastel pencils are a great material that requires very little set up time and are much cleaner than the traditional pastel bricks. We will cover a unique method of layering using a verdaccio technique and modifying it to reach life like skin tones. Robert Pavon will cover the constructive part of portraits where we put the drawing onto the surface using the tried and true methods of comparative measurements. Different types of surfaces and techniques are covered. All materials will be provided.
