The Visual Arts Center (VAC) offers a variety of education opportunities for beginner, intermediate and advanced artists, and those just interested in exploring art. OPEN STUDIOS - Work on your individual project at the VAC in small groups - no instructor.
ONLINE CLASSES - Take live classes from the convenience of your home via Zoom.
ONSITE CLASSES - Instructor led classes in a variety of 2D and 3D art mediums.
WORKSHOPS - Specialty techniques in half-day to multi-day session(s) with VAC or Guest Instructor.
ART SOCIALS - A fun art get together. An art project with supplies and wine in less than 2 hours.,
YOUTH CLASSES - Ages 10 to 18 Instructor led classes in a variety of 2D and 3D art mediums.

Advance registration is required. Online registration closes 72 hours prior to start dates. If you miss the start date, you may email email@example.com and ask to join mid-session. Art Supplies and an optional Class Supply Kit is available for most classes in the VAC Art Supply Store.

Class Times: Monday through Friday, morning sessions meet from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm, and afternoon sessions meet from 1:00 - 4:00 pm. Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday, Evening sessions meet from 6:00 - 9:00 pm. Saturday sessions meet from 10:0 am – 1:00 pm. The VAC opens ½ hour prior to start class time.
Difficulty Registering? If you have any trouble using the website to register or pay your fees, please call the VAC at 941-639-8810 (from 10am to 2pm, Monday through Friday) or email firstname.lastname@example.org and someone will help you.
COVID-19 Precautions: Worktable separations are available to accommodate social distancing guidelines and cleaning wipes are available in each classroom. As an extra precaution, we suggest each student wipe their space before and after use. Gloves and masks are not required but are available at the front desk for those who wish to use them. Personal hand sprays will also be available.
We encourage anyone who registers for a class and does not feel well to remain home and let us know.
