Pottery with Strunk - POTTERY WHEEL (All Levels)

Learn the basics of Wheel Pottery with Steve Strunk in the Visual Arts Center Pottery Studio. This class caters to the beginner with a desire to learn the art and technique of creating pottery on the pottery wheel. Learn about different clays, glazes, and techniques. During this class you will learn how to make a basic bowl, cup, and plate. There is a $60 Material Fee for this class which includes 25 lbs. of clay, use of glazes and kiln time. The Material Fee is included in the class fee and includes FL Sales Tax.  Students must bring a previously purchased set of pottery tools or purchase one for $15 from the VAC Art & Supply Store.

Pottery Tool Kit: $15

You will need sponges and pottery tools which can be purchased at the VAC Art & Supply Store for $15. Purchase a Pottery Tool Kit online (click here)by phone or in person at the VAC Front Desk. Your kit will be waiting for you on your first day of class.

Session: Class meets once each week for 3 hours and is offered in 6-week sessions for $225 (VAC Members $180) includes $60 of materials with sales tax.  

    All class dates and times are subject to change. Classes with a start date within 30 days require payment in full to reserve a place. Prepaid class fees (paid more than 30 days in advance) are refundable less a non-refundable reservation deposit of $30 (VAC Members $25) up until 30 days prior to a class start date at which time all class fees become non-refundable unless the class is cancelled by the VAC.  

    Please register early. Classes with less than five registered students may be cancelled up to 24 hours in advance of the start date.  Cancellation notifications are made by email and/or telephone (including voice messages) to the email address and telephone number on file. Please check your voice mail and email prior to leaving for class.
