Workshop with Unwin - INTRODUCTION TO THE COLORFUL WORLD OF SCRATCHBOARD
In the first 45 mins, you will be introduced to the different scratchboard materials for etching, as well as what mediums you can use to colorize your image. Sheryl will supply a practice board for each student to try out different tools and techniques for different effects such as furring, stippling, cross hatching, etc. She will also demonstrate how color is applied to the scratchboard.
The remaining time will be working on a class project with everyone transferring the same image to a 5x7 Ampersand Scratch board that you can bring with you or purchase from the VAC Art Supply Store. Sheryl will give you step-by-step instructions, as well as time for one-on-one attention.
Bring with you or purchase from the VAC Art Supply Store.
