Join Liz Cole for a half-day Collage Workshop at the Visual Arts Center (VAC). Workshop. Immerse yourself in a full-day workshop that will spark your creative papers then turn them into colorful mixed media collaged paintings. This workshop will introduce you to a variety of collage ideas that you can apply to painted canvas or paper.
Artist Biography:

Liz Cole, known for her intense colors and handmade collage, brings joy and energy to the whimsical narratives she paints. Liz has spent her entire life in the arts from her elementary days at the Toledo Museum of Art to her professional career as an art educator and administrator in higher education. Her degrees include a BFA in Painting from Ohio University, M Ed in Art Education, and PhD in Higher Education from the University of Toledo, and a Management Development Certificate from Harvard. She spent 22 years at the University of Toledo serving as director of the Art Education program, Chair of the Department of Art, and Associate Dean for the College of Arts and Sciences. A nationally recognized expert on young children's art, she co-founded the early childhood program for the Museum in 1978.
