Join Laura Pommier for a half-day Workshop at the Visual Arts Center (VAC). This is a unique workshop inspired by Edgar Degas, where artists draw live ballet dancers in costume while exploring the history and techniques of pastel art. Capture the grace of movement and bring Degas' vision to life on paper!
Model Fee: $25 per student paid on workshop day.
Artist's Biography:
Laura Pommier received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Murray State University in Kentucky and her Master of Art from Indiana State University in painting. Since 2005, Laura has taught many art classes and workshops in portraits, figures, pastels, plein air, flowers, and more. Her award-winning artwork has been displayed in many exhibits as well as featured in several solo shows. Her specialty is painting and drawing with an emphasis on portraits and figurative art.
Workshop Refund: Master Workshops are taught by artist instructors that come from all over the country. We rely on each student's commitment to attend these workshops to support travel and instructor compensation. 100% refund up to the registration deadline. 0% refund on any cancellation less than 9 days from the workshop, unless workshop is cancelled by the VAC.
