Mary Matz - Fiber

Mary Matz is a seasoned knitter and crocheter wit over 55 years of experience in both hand and machine techniques. In the early 1980's, she self-published three knitting books, including the widely respected The Finishing Touch, which focused on perfecting hand and machine-knit garments. Mary's innovative approach led her to international recognition as a lecturer in machine knitting. She also shared her expertise through her newspaper column, Twisted Yarns, which ran for10 years across several newspapers in the Midwest. In 1995, Mary became a certified Crochet Instructor with the Craft Yarn Council, earning the nickname " The Crochet Doctor". In 2020, she expanded her reach by launching a YouTube channel and a website, TwistedYarns.com where she continues to share her passion for knitting and crochet with a global audience.
