Study Oil Painting at the Visual Arts Center (VAC) with Donna Pape. Learn techniques to  create a painting from a photograph.  Find a focal point and create the illusion of depth with color and contrast.  All experience levels welcome. Bring a reference photo.

Supplies:

•  Canvas
  
•  Variety of brushes
  
•  Palette knife
  
•  Odorless mineral spirits and a small, lidded jar to wash brushes 
  
•  Paper towels or rags
  
•  Your favorite oil paint colors.
• Artist's Typical Paint Color Palette:  Permelba White (large tube); Cadmium Yellow; Lemon Yellow; Cadmium Red; Permanent Rose; Veridian Green; Phalo Blue; Ultra Marine Blue; Indigo; Raw Umber; Yellow Ochre.
