Join Jill Lindsay in a Square It Up workshop using squares/grid to create realistic paintings at the Visual Arts Center (VAC).  This workshop will have a little bit of everything: alcohol inks, collage, gridding, painting, creating a large painting (as group), and lots of Laughter!

• We will start off with an introduction to alcohol inks
• Demonstration on how to use grid method, with cut up squares
• Watercolor, acrylic or alcohol ink welcome
• How to collage onto a canvas
• Create a large portrait of Matisse - Group Effort!

Supply list:

Acrylic paint – the colors you have and like

Alcohol ink – I will share mine, but if you have some, bring it along

Whatever you use to create: pens, markers, brushes

Small container for water

Paper Towels

Gloves – if you don’t want ink on your fingers

Watercolor paper – any size will do – we will be cutting it up

Old paintings done on paper you might not like

A picture of something you would like to paint

* You shouldn’t have to buy things for this workshop.  Whatever you use in your daily (or weekly or monthly) painting/creating practice should be fine.
