One Day Workshop | Saturday 1pm-4pm | $120 Future Member | $108 VAC Member
This one-day workshop challenges participants to problem-solve and create with limited materials. Using only items from a mystery brown bag, you’ll complete a timed mixed-media project to craft a unique abstract painting. Expect creativity, experimentation, and fun—no extra supplies or cheating allowed!
Artist's Biography:
Karen Sako fuses classical design with bold experimentation to explore light’s fleeting nature and the layered complexity of the natural world. A passionate educator, she shares her techniques and insights with contagious enthusiasm, inspiring creative risk-taking and discovery.
Holding a BFA in Visual Communications from the Illinois Institute of Art, Karen is an accomplished abstract artist, designer, and instructor known for workshops that blend intuition and technique to help students uncover their unique artistic voice.
