Tai Chi, rooted in 16th-century martial arts and Taoist philosophy, uses slow, fluid movements and natural breathing to cultivate balance, relaxation, and awareness. Classes include Qigong warm-ups and the 24 Yang Style Form, supporting coordination, mental clarity, cardiovascular health, stress reduction, and a gentle mind-body-spirit connection.
Instructor's Biography:
I first began studying Tai Chi in 1995 at the Boston Kung Fu Tai Chi Academy inthe heart of Boston. I was trained under the guidance of Yao Li, Dorri Li, and
Joshua Grant. I won several metals in Tai Chi competitons as well as Push Hands,
which is a practical application for developing the martial arts training of Tai Chi. I
began teaching Tai Chi to elementary students as well as older adults in 2001. I
continue to nurture my own practice and feel called to offer it to others who are
interested in developing a relationship with their own awareness and motivation to
master their ability to take steps to improve health and well-being.
