Join Birgit Tode for a fun adventure in a one-day workshop working with Mixed Media at the Visual Arts Center.  Take your resin art to the next level by learning how to create stunning special effects using stencils, paint markers, metallic accents, and mixed media embellishments layered onto cured resin surfaces. This creative workshop focuses on transforming existing resin pieces through texture, detail, and artistic layering techniques before sealing everything beneath a fresh coat of resin to transform it into a beautiful and totally different masterpiece. Bringing an old, unloved resin painting is optional otherwise we will provide a canvas with resin on it.

Artist Biography:

Birgit Tode was born and raised in Germany. Over her lifetime she worked and lived in many countries in Europe, spent time in Africa before moving to the US in 2012. Her artist journey started around 6 years ago with watercolor, clay, and acrylic paint before she found her medium - resin. As a self-taught artist she never stopped to discover new techniques and ways to create. She loves to play with materials, structure, and all colors.
